Hickory Smoked Turkey - Heating Instructions

Preparation: Our hickory smoked turkey is cured (using a brine solution for flavor and juiciness) so it will be pink in color before and after you heat to serve.

To Thaw: Place unopened turkey in your refrigerator for approximately 2-3 days.

To Heat from a thawed state: Remove turkey from plastic packaging. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Place the turkey in a deep roasting pan and cover with foil. Warm for approximately 1 1/2 hours. (Allow an additional 30 minutes if you have the large sized turkey). Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Pull turkey at 140 degrees. Let stand uncovered for 15 minutes before carving.
Suggestions: For a different twist on vegetables: place half ears of corn on the cob along with 2" squares of potatoes and 2" cuts of carrots around all sides of the turkey. The juices from the turkey will be an excellent medium for helping cook the vegetables.
